Work Projects Ministry

Hundreds of JFA volunteers have worked together, sharing from one week to a month or more of their time, pooling resources and skills, and serving through the JFA work projects.  The projects take place with ministries located around the country who are carrying out Christian community development in poor and disenfranchised urban and rural settings.  The projects may be part of a ministry's neighborhood housing program, health clinic, school, church, or a variety of other projects which require skilled construction groups.  JFA volunteers have served at ministries in Alabama, Florida, Illinois, Kentucky, Mississippi, Montana, New Mexico, South Dakota and Tennessee.

Warehouse Ministry

JFA collects good clothing, household items, toys, building supplies, furniture and appliances.  Donated items are received daily and many volunteers are needed to unload, sort, repair, package, and reload these items for distribution.  The goods are used to serve those with needs in our communities through local churches and ministries that JFA partners with.  Shipments are also made to ministries around the country where the goods are used to serve the people of these communities.  Many of the ministries have thrift stores through which they can provide needed goods at very low prices.  Ministries in California, Illinois, Kentucky, Minnesota, Mississippi, New Mexico, and South Dakota have benefited from the warehouse ministry.  Goods have also been taken literally around the world including many countries throughout Central America and countries like Afghanistan, Mexico, Romania, Russia and more.
