1  Praise God for the beautiful testimony of the hope and love of Jesus Christ displayed through the load of goods delivered to the Rosebud! Many who had lost everything in a tornado were helped with furniture & household items.

2  Praise God for safe travels for the deliveries made to Jackson County Ministries by Bill & Kathy Bajema; Cary Christian Center by Don & Rena Cannegieter; and Helping Hands Ministries by Corwin & Dan; and Rosebud Reservation by Corwin

.

3  Pray that the goods delivered will be a blessing to the communities and families that receive them as well as a revenue resource for the ministries as they serve their communities.

4 September is a very busy month.  Pray for safety, strength, and perseverance for JFA volunteers.  Pray also if God is calling you to share a few hours at JFA.

May the mind of Christ my Savior live in me from day to day, by His love and power controlling all I do and say.

7  Pray for those meeting this week in Chicago for the 20^th Anniversary CCDA Conference!  Many of those who dreamed the dream with Rev. Perkins will be present  for a very special time of praise and celebration!

8 Continue to pray for Rev. & Mrs. Perkins.  Pray for their health especially as they continue to be a vital voice for Christian community development principles & vision.

9  Praise God for the area churches that support JFA ministry through their   financial gifts and their members participation in JFA opportunities of service!

10  Praise God for JFA’s faithful volunteers!  They make ‘sharing and caring in Christ’s name’ possible!

11  As harvest season begins, please pray for safety in the fields, on the roads, etc.  Praise God for another year of bounty.

May the love of Jesus fill me as the waters fill the sea.  Him exalting, self abasing: this is victory.

13  Pray for Pastor Dan, Corwin, & Pat as they continue to carry out their duties at JFA.

14  Pray for the JFA Board members and Committee members as they plan for the new fiscal year ahead.

15   Sep 30 is the end of the JFA fiscal year.  Pray about a financial gift to help JFA end the year well.

16  The Annual JFA Picnic & Auction will be held this evening!  Pray that God would bless JFA with a good turnout and also a great time of fellowship for JFA supporters.

17 This weekend, Dordt will honor Stan & Alice Weber as distinguished alumni!  Praise God for their gifts, their passion for ministry, and their life’s work of serving others both in Vicksburg & Nashville!

18  Pray for Stan as he leads Salama Institute, providing paths to success for their students, and also, for Alice, as she continues to make an impact on the educational system in Nashville & elsewhere through her gifts and leadership!

19  Pastor Dan will be preaching at Trinity CRC of RV today.

20  Pray for the JFA Board as they meet this evening.

21  Pray for the JFA volunteer group serving with Pastor Gabe & Vi Medicine Eagle this week in Ideal, SD.

22  Pray for the congregation of Shekinah Chapel of Ideal, SD.  As we serve each other this week, may new relationships and understanding bring us new glimpses of the Kingdom!

23  Continue to pray for Vi Medicine Eagle as she is now undergoing the radiation phase of her cancer treatment.  May God grant complete healing!

24  Thank God for our immigrant neighbors as they bring with them their gifts – through our created diversity and our unity in Jesus Christ, may we portray the beauty of God’s Kingdom!

25  Pray that many will attend the ‘Immigration & Community’ Conference at Dordt College today!  A great opportunity for local church members to learn more about what the Bible says about immigration, as well as how to be ‘neighbors’ to the immigrant.

May we run the race before us, strong and brave to face the foe, looking only unto Jesus as we onward go.

27 Pray for the plans being made for the Annual Banquet and Society Meeting next month.  Pray for Dorsey Johnson & Carolyn Newhof as they come to share with us the story of Cary Christian Center.

28 Pray for the project being planned later this fall with Cary Christian Center.  Pray about joining JFA in this opportunity to serve.

29  Pray for peace.  Pray for those who are serving in areas of conflict around the world – pray for their families as well. 

30 Pray for Hortencia  Estupiñan from Resplandor da Vida Children’s Home (supported by Harvest Hands Ministries).  May God bring answers and complete healing to her as she and Joquim begin to realize their dreams of accepting children into the home!
